Since 1930, the Dakota Hospital Foundation (DHF) has been dedicated to improving the health and wellness of individuals and communities throughout our region. What began through the vision and determination of local healthcare pioneers has grown into a lasting tradition of community leadership, compassion, and service that continues today through the Foundation’s board members, donors, volunteers, and partners.

For more than 90 years, the Vermillion hospital has evolved into a comprehensive community medical center serving patients and families across southeast South Dakota, northwest Iowa and northeast Nebraska. Together with Sanford Vermillion Medical Center, the Dakota Hospital Foundation remains committed to advancing community health and wellness for generations to come.
